About me ...

I've always had a passion for photography. When I think all the way back to when I was first gifted a Kodak instamatic camera in the early 1980's, with flash cube, I was hooked on photography instantly. A camera hasn’t been far from my side since. The love of photos and filming has always been present no matter which hobby or fad I was going through.
Having been a Graphic Designer for over 30 years I often found myself in need to shoot my own imagery, get creative or simply finding a solution to fulfill a brief. This was pre-digital and Internet! Since then I have worked with some of the most prestigious blue chip brands and companies across many diverse industries on designs spanning from sportswear to retail and from food to hospitality..... and everything else in between. In the quiet times I often infused this with my other passions of motorbikes, mountain bikes, cars, building things and drawing. This led to numerous motorsport and automotive events that had my work published nationally, and internationally in magazines and books.

Now in my 50th year I am married with two sons all of which share the same passion for creativity, arts and making things.

About my craft...

Some chance opportunities led me into the modelling world briefly on photoshoots which slowed the pace down slightly but allowed me to get creative, observe more of the surroundings and work directly with people. I enjoyed this. When someone asked me to photograph their wedding, by now I had 20 years or so experience, but ever the perfectionist, I decided to take myself on a three day wedding photography workshop. I immediately fell in love with it and learned a lot. You see a wedding is fast paced like a race one minute, then slow and precise like a magazine shoot the next then at a flip of a switch noisy and crowded like a corporate event. It's not for every photographer, but it is for me. The ever changing light, scenes, action... it keeps you on your toes, reacting to a moment that nobody else saw but now captured for someone. Its a wonderful feeling to be a part of.

Having a creative eye and mind my style of shooting is to document those personal moments, capture the action and seize the detail that one would usually miss whether it is in photos or moving on film.
